Tomaz Jervell was the father of our CEO, Tomás Jervell and of the Executive Director of Civiparts, João Jervell, as well as the brother of our Board of Directors Members Paulo Jervell and Luís Jervell.
Tomaz Jervell took on the leadership of the company in 1984 and turned into one of the major economic groups in the country, having been the main driver behind its internationalization.
Tomaz Jervell was born in Porto on 4th March 1944, of Norwegian nationality. He was known for his innately discreet and polite character and was acknowledged by all for his competence and tenacity. His leadership style profoundly marked Nors and he leaves a vast and deep-rooted legacy.
Tomaz Jervell was the Norwegian and Swedish Consul in Porto, he was awarded the Gold Medal from the city of Porto and was made a Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav by the King of Norway. He was also made a Commander of the Royal Swedish Order of the Polar Star by the King of Sweden and made a Commander of the Order of Merit, by the President of the Portuguese Republic.
