SUMMARY
Support ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes within NORS Canada branch network. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop hands-on experience in operations, process improvement, and change management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Process Improvement Initiatives
- Assist with the implementation and sustainability of FLOW Program (Operational Efficiency Initiatives).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Provide operational training and support to branches during process enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure communication channels are fully deployed and answers to questions/points of clarification are actioned on a timely basis to deliver the required understanding and commitment to FLOW Program.
- Assist in coordinating and planning of workshop implementations.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Perform data collection and analysis using Excel and other tools to monitor performance.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and updates effectively.
Change Management Assistance
- Help foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging with employees at various levels.
- Assist in managing resistance to change and supporting teams during transitions.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific process improvement goals and targets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS 365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Basic understanding of data analysis and process mapping tools.
- Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred but not required).
- Fluency in French and English is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and ability to set appropriate priority levels
- Strong communication skills and ability to convince all level stakeholders. during the implementation phase.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- Strong ability to work with people and manage conflict.
- Positive attitude, and a results-oriented mindset to drive continuous improvement culture.
EDUCATION/ TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in operations, business analysis, or process improvement
Particular Conditions
- Regular working hours but need to also be available if needed.
- Frequent travel within Ontario, Quebec, and across Canada (up to 70% in first 2 years and 50% year 3 onwards)
