SUMMARY
The hose specialist identifies various types of hoses and types of fittings, design and estimate custom hose assemblies in order to offer replacement options and fulfill client needs and application. Removes and replaces hoses on construction and industrial equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Emphasis on increasing revenues and customer service by improving Hose Assembly operating efficiencies through processes in the Parts department;
- Emphasis in the development and implementation of a “customer service, customer focused” philosophy, within the department;
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Hose Assembly department;
- Track and maintain log of all hoses built; track all hose purchases within region to capture more hose building business;
- Answer calls coming into the Hose Assembly Department;
- Prepare invoices for direct sales, work order sales and outside Branch sales;
- Responsible for all aspects of hose assembly area, cleanliness, inventory, billing, customer service; Maintain records of hose assembly procedures and practices;
- Proper and safe use hose assembly equipment at all times;
- Deal with customers and internal customers daily, ensure proper customer service attitude at all times;
- When required, answer customer Parts calls and invoice Parts when other staff on vacation;
- Successful candidate must have mechanical aptitude, exceptional organizational and customer service skills; possess excellent written and oral communication skills; be proficient with time management; excellent multitasking skills. Good computer skills necessary. Experience working in a similar roll and SAP an asset.

- Create sales orders to provide a client invoice for all transactions and provide quotes in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Parts Supervisor/Branch Manager;

EDUCATION/ TRAINING:
- High School diploma
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in hose building, hydraulics or mechanics is required
Particular Conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Overtime may be required
